TEAMSESCO Expands Service To include green energy Support
TEAMSESCO partners with long-time distribution partner, DXP Enterprises to offer Quality, expansive repair services to growing wind-power industry.
Greensboro, NC (August 14, 2013) – TEAMSESCO is proud to announce their newest service offering to its current line-up of technology services — wind power electronic repairs.
While wind power has been used for centuries, it is a relatively new source of electricity generation. Identifiable by its towering turbines, wind power has been used on a utility scale for the past 20 to 30 years. Wind-generating capacity in the United States has grown by 39 percent, per year, from 2004 to 2009. As the wind energy industry continues to grow, it provides expanding opportunities for industrial electronic repair services like those offered by TEAMSESCO.
According to the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), in the year 2000, installed wind energy capacity in the United States was under 3,000 megawatts. It is now over 35,000 megawatts or enough electricity to power 9.7 million homes. In 2009, 10,010 megawatts of new wind energy capacity was installed, more than in any previous year. As wind energy continues to grow in popularity, the development of American wind farms is expected to increase.
However, due to international competition and aging equipment, operators of wind turbines are under increasing pressure when it comes to cost effective service and support.
“We are proud to be working with our long-time distribution partner, DXP Enterprises, in providing a much needed service to an expanding sector of the industrial electronic repair business.” said Stuart Smith, TEAMSESCO president. “When DXP saw a need for quality wind repair from their existing customer base they turned to TEAMSESCO.” DXP and TEAMSESCO work closely with each customer to insure that every wind power repair is equal to the standard of quality that both companies guarantee. “Our technicians and engineers have developed extensive testing procedures and equipment upgrades using superior design and components than the original equipment manufacturer. Customers appreciate this effort due to the high cost of lost productivity.”
With more than 100 years of experience in serving the industrial market, the wind power industry represents a new and exciting growth opportunity for TEAMSESCO. “Entering into these new markets demonstrate not only where TEAMSESCOstands today; but also where we are heading in our commitment to growing the business for the next 100 years”. Smith says, “In the company’s formative days we did everything from motor rewinds for textile plants, to installing signal lights for municipalities. But, as the industry has changed so have we, in order to meet the needs of our customers.” He adds, “When my great grandfather joined this business one-hundred years ago, it’s most likely he never envisioned us repairing 500HP drives, human-machine interfaces or wind turbines!”

Additionally, TEAMSESCO is excited to announce the creation of its new marketing department. “TEAMSESCO is one of only a handful of companies in the industry committed to allocating resources to the growth of their business through marketing and direct sales.” stated Gary Corns, director of marketing. “Our initial efforts have focused on the continuity of TEAMSESCO’s image with an updated logo, new product literature and a new, interactive website.” he continues, “The new site allows our customers to instantly receive quotes on their repairs as well as a portal for existing customers, providing real-time access to the status of their jobs.” “It is a tremendously helpful customer service tool!” said Corns.
TEAMSESCO also announces the hiring of additional service technicians in its Greensboro, NC offices. “Expanding our servo-systems team capabilities will allow us to better serve our growing customer base”, said Brenda Murphy, operations manager. “While we currently offer some of the best warranty and rush service options in the industry, the additional staff will help us to excel at meeting our customer’s needs and expectations as we serve an expanding market.
